Mystic Arts Center volunteers can help with the programs and services of Mystic's creative community. Volunteers are part of an active team working with the staff in the galleries, classrooms, administrative offices, and on the grounds and special events.

A wide variety of opportunities are available to match you to the best position and schedule. Volunteering at MAC provides the opportunity to meet new people while serving the community, advancing the mission of the MAC, learning about the arts, and having fun.

Volunteer Positions

Class Assistant
Work with Studio Faculty to assist in set-up, facilitation, and break-down of art classes for adults and children

Exhibitions Co-Chair
Organize the process of and volunteer support for receiving and awards for a given exhibition.

Exhibitions Receiving
Work with exhibitions co-chairs and other volunteers to receive and deliver artworks for yearly exhibitions.

Groundskeeper
Assists head gardeners with clean-up of grounds (raking, pruning, et al.)

Mail Team
Process bulk mailings of newsletter, annual fund, and other large projects.

Maintenance
Makes general repairs and performs basic maintenance of buildings and grounds. Tools provided.

Office Assistant
Assist in all areas of administration with basic office tasks and computer data entry.

Receptionist
Greet and receive all visitors to gallery and administrative offices.

Special Event Assistant
Work with Events Coordinator and other staff to assist in set-up, facilitation and clean-up of special events.

Street Team
Posts flyers about MAC events in area restaurants, shops, libraries, etc. May conduct face to face polls on occasion.
