The Mystic Arts Center is the place to have a fun and hands-on birthday party! We offer a variety of themes and are happy to customize according to the birthday child. Parties are suggested for children ages 4-12 and are offered for 2 hours on weekends.

Party Themes

• Princes and Princesses: Create crowns, magic wands, and scepters
• Painting: Work at a real artist easel and explore the wide world of paint through instruction. Or create a painted life-size self portrait with robust imagination – are you a knight in shiny armor or a super-star athlete?
• Doll Tea Party (ages 7+): Bring your favorite doll or stuffed animal and create a fanciful food item from Sculpey clay for a whimsical tea party.
• Magical Wizards and Witches: Create wands and potions to enhance your spells.
• Mixed Media Adventure: Use a variety of materials to create a unique masterpiece. Past projects have included crackle painting, kinetic sculpture, and treasure chests.
• Jungle Safari: Bring out your inner wild creature by creating an animal-inspired project.
• Under the Sea: Create a mystical crayon-resist painting filled with your favorite aquatic creatures.
• Custom Art Party: Does your child have a special interest or theme in mind? Talk to our staff about creating a customized art project!

Mystic Arts Center provides

• Exclusive use of the studios for two hours
• Art instruction by Mystic Arts Center staff
• “Eye Spy” tour in galleries (optional)

• All materials used for art project
• Art project clean-up
• Tables and chairs
• Kitchen facilities (refrigerator, microwave, etc.)
• Broom, dustpan and trash receptacles for clean-up

Party host provides

• Food and drinks
• Paper goods (plates, cups, napkins, utensils)
• Tablecloths (optional)
• Balloons and additional decorations (optional)
• Post party clean up per Mystic Arts Center specifications
• Chaperones (at least one adult per 6 children)

Program Fees

• $200 for Mystic Arts Center members (Includes up to 12 children including the birthday child)
• $250 for non-members.
• Additional children are welcome for $10 each
• A refundable $35 security deposit is required at the time of reservation and will be refunded upon satisfactory clean up as determined by the Mystic Arts Center. The deposit will be mailed within 10 business days.

Birthday Party Guidelines

• Attendance is limited to 25 children maximum.
• There must be at least one adult chaperone present for every six children.
• Please plan accordingly and keep decorations and food preparation simple to allow time for the allocated set up and clean up time.
• Running inside or outside near the boulders or water is prohibited.
