The MYSTIC ARTS CENTER, a unique and beautiful venue for your wedding, rehearsal dinner or for any prestigious event is located on the banks of the Mystic River in the heart of Historic Downtown Mystic. Commanding a spectacular waterfront from its lovely terraces and grounds, the gallery is within easy walking distance from the area's premiere attractions, accommodations, restaurants and churches.

The interior area is 10,000 square feet and includes galleries and a state-of-the-art studio. The River Terrace offers spectacular views of the expansive lawns and Mystic River. A concert terrace provides all the amenities needed for the musicians of your choice. Fully handicap accessible, with a complete kitchen and ample parking, the MYSTIC ARTS CENTER provides a magnificent backdrop and the perfect setting for your event.

The MYSTIC ARTS CENTER can easily be configured in many ways to accommodate up to 175 seated guests.

Guidelines for Facility Rental:

Deposit
A Deposit of $1000.00 and a signed contract are required to reserve the day. The deposit is independent of the rental fee. The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel your event. If cleanup of the facility is satisfactory, the deposit will be returned to you in the week following your event.

Facility Rental
Prices are through December 2007 and include facility and grounds rental and security personnel only. A Certificate of Insurance is required. All bookings are contingent upon exhibition and education schedules. Please call for availability and to set up a time to visit. The rental fee is payable 30 days in advance of the evening of your event.

  • The building will become available to you on the day of your event based on the contracted time. The MYSTIC ARTS CENTER'S Special Events Coordinator must approve arrangements for the delivery of any rentals. The rental fee includes exclusive use of both the interior and exterior of the Center as well as access to parking. Our modern kitchen is available for the outside caterer of your choice.
  • Alcohol may not be served within one-half hour of the end time for your event. Music should end promptly at the end time of the event in order for the building to be vacated by all guests within one-half hour of the end time.
  • All caterers and liquor purveyors must have Certificates of Insurance on file at the MYSTIC ARTS CENTER. Cash bars and kegs are prohibited; guest may not supply their own alcohol.
  • Photographers, florists and musicians are welcome at the responsibility of the renter.
  • A representative of the MYSTIC ARTS CENTER will be on the premises for the duration for the event.
  • The facility is available after 3:00 pm. At 3:00 the facility is yours to set up, allowing enough time for arrival of your guests at 5:00 pm. NOTE: The building must be cleared by 11:00.
